The State's seizure of The Pearl's property without proper compensation is a crime. The number of people who enjoyed The Pearl vs. the "benefits" of the state's proposed use is absurd. These dedicated business owners deserve proper compensation which would allow them to reopen and continue what they have dedicated their lives to.

I worked at the Pearl for 3 or 4 years. I got to know Steve Lin and his business very well. He is the kindest, generous, dedicated person I have ever worked for. I loved coming to work and listening to his stories and how he built his business.

This saddens me and I willpray for the Lin family.

The State of NJ is just as corrupt as it gets. Any chance to step on the businessman to put a few extra pennies in their pocket, and they'll do it. It's a shame. The Pearl was a landmark for Somers Point

Theft and corruption before our eyes. Lets see how they like it when local residents refuse to patronize anything they decide to put in its place. I hope an aggressive, grass roots media campaign is tireless in its efforts to disgrace New Jersey DOT.
